Who we are

Carism is a mobile app operated by Happytrip ("we", "us"), the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at donghyun@happytrip.world.

What we collect

Account data: when you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your account identifier and email address from that provider. In the app you choose a nickname and a country, which are shown to your group members.

Content you create: the 10-second videos you record and post to a group. Each video may carry a capture timestamp shown in viewers' local time.

Usage data: basic technical information needed to run the service, such as device type, app version, and group membership records (which groups you belong to and your daily posting activity).

How your videos are shared

Groups are private. A video you post to a group is visible only to the members of that group (up to four people, including you). If you share one clip to several groups, it becomes visible to the members of each of those groups.

Videos are not public, are not searchable, and are not shown to anyone outside your groups.

How we use your data

We use your data to operate Carism: to match you into groups, to deliver and play back videos within your groups, to enforce daily limits, and to keep the service safe and reliable.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Where your data is stored

Carism stores account data and videos with Supabase, our hosting and database provider, in the Asia-Pacific (Seoul) region. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections.

How long we keep it

Videos remain available to your group for the life of the group. When you delete your account, your account data and your videos are deleted from the service, except where a short retention period is required for backups or by law.

Your rights

You can access and update your nickname and country in the app, and you can delete your account from the My page at any time, which removes your data as described above.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, export, or erase your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact donghyun@happytrip.world.

Children

Carism is not directed to children under 14 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child is using Carism, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and note the new effective date above.
